My local Hallmark greeting cards store has been selling some kind of two inch long magnets at the counter lately. The selling point is that you toss two up in the air separately but in close proximity to each other, and they seek each other out and make a fun buzzing clicking noise as they come together.
I recently found a really practical use for them. When I oil the blade on a new knife, I like to stand the knife up horizontally, edge next to the desk, so the oil (Eezox) will flow off the knife from the cutting edge before it dries, thinking that this will maximize pore penetration.
I use one magnet on each side of the knife to stand it up.
