For halloween my son is going to be Peter Pan. Peter Pan carries a dagger, so I made a dagger. About 95% was done with my BK9. My BK14 helped a little, and I used a folding saw to cut the log to length.

It's not perfect but it makes a 4 year old happy.

I'll add some photos of the finished costume once he's dressed and ready for trick-or-treating.

You did a great job, I haven't tried carving anything yet but I should give it a go.

This thread is full of win!

Hot damn, my first double tap.

Awesome! I would have loved that when I was a kid.
(just don't let him take it to school, he'll get expelled)

Thanks for the compliments. My son loves it (he's actually the photographer who took pictures of me carving). He wants to carry it around everywhere he goes.

I saw this yesterday morning in the other thread, still awesome! That boy will no doubt play with that "blade" for a long time. Good work man!

Dude that's perfect for a 4 year old! It reminds me of one that my grandpa mad for me when I was that age. Just don't let him near a cactus with it! I ended up with the sword across my butt for chopping at my grandpa's cactus...

That's really cool. I'm sure he'll remember that for a long time. Plus, you made an knife using a knife! Let's hope the 9 doesn't become self-replicating; they'd take over the world...
