Hi together,

this will be quite a long one, so please bear with me.

Today is my last day of vacation before starting my new job, so I decided to get out and get some oxygen into my brain.

I started early, the temperature was a crisp -2°C (28°F) and I wanted to get going.

So off I went to the Eiswoog, which is another pond near me and decided to make myself a coffee somewhere in these woods.

I took route #12 (2.8miles) as it was only a stroll before breakfast.

The air was very cold, the mist had not lifted yet and so everything was like your glasses are foggy. Eerie and very calm. Nobody else there, just me, my Beckers and my camera.

The route went along a small valley and no ascent, just quite flat and along the valley.

To be continued...

The sun was coming up and through the trees – quite lovely.

Coffeewise, no way to build a fire – no coffee – (Well I could have, but not legally) so I postponed it.

On the way back I decided to get the heart pumping and took a small detour (up the hill and around)

There was a downed tree blocking my path, the 17 made short work of it (It’s really biting into wood)

Then I checked how long the detour was and it came to 3,5miles – A very nice prebreakfast stroll...

to be cont.

The day went on and in the afternoon I checked my mail:

It was here, Christmas is early! The patches Ethan has sent to me came.:):):)

Thank you so much Ethan, especially for the note you send with it. It is not “a few goodies”, it is the real dedication you have to your knives, and the people who use it.

I’m too old to be a fanboy, life is sometimes tough, but your knives and your dedication are truly inspiring. I will use Becker Knives and I will wear this patch proudly and happy.

Thank you :) :)

Now I’m off to get the pumpkin on the street and the sweets to the little ones – Have a nice Halloween together!
