hamilton OH knife laws

could i carry a cold steel paradox (5 1/2 inch blade) in hamilton OH or is it a balisong even though it can't be opened with one hand

Ohio's knife laws don't really care about if it is or is not a balisong or how it opens. They only care if it's a "deadly weapon" which is dependent on if the knife looks like it's designed as a weapon as well as if it's used as one or carried in a situation suggested it was.
 
Basically Ohio left it wide open. Some counties do have 2.5" blade limit, most do not specify. Whatever the LEO "thinks" of your blade.. thats what it is.
Honestly I think you would have a more difficult time for fixed blade, balisong/butterfly, switch blade, dagger, stiletto.. etc as opposed to a folder pocket knife.. meaning if it would be difficult to explain its a utility tool, used for work etc if its not a folder..
