Never knew Hammer Brand made bone handle knives. Is this one real? The knife cleaned up wonderfully and the old carbon steel took a great edge. Please show yours if you have one. I love the old Hammer Brand knives.

The bone (and tang stamp don’t look like anything I have seen from NYKC. Imperial is well known for the vast quantities of cheap shell handle Hammer Brand knives that they made. I wonder if they made this, too.

With the USA vertically at the right side of the tang stamp, I am sure it was Imperial made. Nice bone.
Imperial did in the early days make bone handled knives.

The USA marking would date to the years just after WW2, maybe to the mid 1950s.
I would bet that this was made after the Imperial / Ulster / Schrade merger, as it looks like it may have been made using tooling for an Ulster made stockman pattern. Not a lot made like this, but they do exist.

Let's See Your (Traditional) Hammer Brand!

Interesting. Do not search that exclamatory sentence!
