In January, I stopped at a local gun show, and picked up a couple old knives in a trade with a dealer, that has been setting up there since I was a kid going to these shows with my father. One of the knives he had was a Hammer Brand swayback barlow. This barlow had a long pull, with "lines" in the pull.

I do not recall the scales being so green, but, you get the basic gist of the knife. Anyway, I asked if this knife was made in China or Germany. There were no markings of Solingen Germany, but I was hoping against hope this came from ol' Deutschland. It's fit and finish is very good. Now, I don't want to get into a discussion on Chinese knives, I just want to know if, A), anyone has seen this knife before, and B), the origin of this knife. I saw it again this past weekend, still in the same dealers display case, and we both discussed the merits of probable origin of this knife, and another Hammer Brand in his case. A fairly large jack knife. Anyway, I like this knife, but, I have my idiosyncracies as do all of us, and would like to know where it was made before I pull the trigger.
The image I found is similar to the knife I looked at, I'm hoping that the knife isn't a Taylor made knife because it was of a much better quality than the Schrades I've seen from them since Schrade went belly up. I also really hope it's not 400 series stainless
