Hammer Identification

Looks like it might be a one off. Punching out rivets maybe.

It's difficult to see but the flat area around the eye in the second picture is ground, plus the evidence of flashing from end to end. I think it was an industrially produced head. It does seem like some sort of punch though.

I see that. At one time we made a tool for every task. I have seen many that left me wondering.

I'm pretty much at a loss on this one. I have been trolling google for awhile now, but I don't even know what terms to try. I could see it being both swung and struck, but it seems at odds to me. It's large and heavy and balances toward the fat end. You meant "one off" as in a specialty hammer? That makes sense. Maybe for a particular industry.
