Hammer marks,,,do i have to grind em out?

Hey yall,,,made a bush knife the other day out of some leaf spring,,,I kinda hammered it out pretty thin,,,but it turned out OK,,,I don't have enough meat to grind out a few deeper hammer marks,,,,it feels good and VERY sharp,,,
Is having those hammer marks detrimental to its function?

Nope......lots of forged knives have marks.
Look up Brute de Forge
Some people like the look.

Only if they are “stress risers”, it’s much better if you Google that than me trying to explain in a post.
Personally I like a worked Brute de forge look. No one has mentioned we need images!
