This is my second sheath I've hand made after buying my first strip of leather and using common home tools. I used a fork to set my hole pattern and a drill to make the holes. There are three layers of leather protecting the blade; the welt, sheath, and stone holder that duals as a third layer of protection against the knife penetrating through the sheath. I double stitched it with sinew. Reinforced it with mil-spec screws that are used on military helmets. Dyed it dark brown and used conditioning wax to preserve it. I call this sheath "Hammer of the Gods"; a Norse theme since it will be holding my new Fällkniven F1 knife and DC4 sharpener I bought. The inscription is Thors hammer and the letters are warrior, journey, protection.
