Hi guys, I'm looking to get a hammock for camping in deep forest like we have up here in Québec(Canada). I'm hesitating between a Hennessy Explorer Deluxe, Clark Jungle Ultra Light and a Eureka Chrysalys...any advice or other suggestion would be apreciated...Thank's!!!!

My buddy Joe just got the Hennessy ASM, and he loves it, used it this weekend.

Best Regards,

i have only used the HH asm so i have no input on the others.

the HH is awesome! i just wish i had the extra cash to order the larger fly so that in longer rains i can hang out under with a fair amount of space.

I'm getting ready to buy a hammock too and I've narrowed it down to these two, the HH Explorer Deluxe A-SYM Zip and Warbonnet Blackbird.

The Clarks look nice but seem too complicated and it's hard to tell how the Eureka is designed from pictures alone. It seems very different from PROVEN designs however.

I would suggest you check out Warbonnet and if you go for the HH consider a zippered model and ask for the larger rain fly(no additional cost).

I have used a Clark North American and a Clark Tropical model. The Clark Ultralight would be a much better quality Hammock than the Hennesy as well as being larger.

On the Larger point. When I bought my first Clark I followed Mr Clarks advice and purchased his Tropical model instead of the ultralight. This was due to the fact that I am over 6' in height.

Since you are in the Northern lattitudes you would be better off with the Clark North American which is designed to be used in colder temps than either the ultralight or the Tropical model.

The Hennesy's are smaller than the Clarks and not nearly as well made. The Clark's are very very well built.

Have fun hangin around between trees.

Thank's guys, I'm juggling between the Clark and the Warbonnet....maybe I'll get both...:)
