Hello Friends,

I was inspired recently by Mr. Nick Wheelers tutorials on polishing a clay hardened blade and his epic WIP on Loriens chopper.

Any way, I forged this fighter from 3/4" round W-1.
The hamon didn't turn out like I had it pictured in my head but I'm pretty tickled with it any way.

Thanks Nick, I appreciate you taking the time to help us mere mortals to be better knife makers.

I'd say you did really well. Do show us the completed knife when done.

Thats the thing about hamons, all you can do is influence them . They seem to have a way of coming out with a flavour all their own. I'd say this one is a keeper. Lets see the rest when its finished. Paul

Hello Greg. I would say you took Nick's tutorial to heart. Really good looking blade. And yes, let us see the completed knife. Good job.

That's Fantastic!

I'm going to have to read that tutorial again and just "Get my mind right" and do it!
