Hamon? WIP

This is a 10" Fighter forged from 1095. Handle is sambar stag, Fittings are wrought iron. Alot of work left to do. When I did the quench the exposed steel scaled and blew off. Poss a little too much heat. But, it left what I thought was a awsome look so I hit it with some 400,600 and 1000 grit. This blade has not been etched. What do you guys think?

I think a light etch will really set it off nice. Good job
