Does anyone know if this stuff is still available? I can't even tell if hand American is even in business anymore, let alone still making their diamond strop sprays....

I know there are other options out there for sprays and even more options as far as diamond/cbn pastes. I've tried most of them but I just seem like I have far better luck with the Hand American stuff. I just can't seem to get the right amount with the pastes (usually too much and the strop loads up or I can't seem to get an even coating with the tiny amounts.)

I've also tried the DMT .5 micron spray but it seems to be much more diluted than the H.A. and much less aggressive.

If anyone has any I do it would be greatly appreciated....

Thanks

I also have used Hand American products for years.

My understanding is that they do not sell direct any longer, products are mainly wholesale for second label vendors.

The availability of the HandAmerican products has been extremely hit or miss for the past couple years.

Ken has mono diamond in both spray and paste formulations, with the same concentration and higher QC than hand american products. I would get that if you want mono diamond.

Although the PolyDIamond and CBN products are more accessible now as he is offering them in 1oz bottles.

Thanks for all the info guys, much appreciated. I've known about kens sprays but that's the first time I've seen the Richmond paste. cktg is where I've usually gotten the h.a. spray from in the past. Thanks again guys!

The availability of HandAmerican products has been extremely hit or miss for the last 20 years!
That said, it's also been one of the very highest quality selections of sharpening abrasives on the market, and well worth the search and wait required to get them.
