Hand File Recommendations?

Hello, I am currently in the process of collecting tools and supplies to begin the knifemaking trade. Currently, I am in search of some really good hand files. I wouldn't say price isn't an issue, as I do have a budget, but I could spring for a few extra bucks if it helped of course. If possible, could you please list which type of file you use for specific tasks? I am mostly concerned about shaping handles, not so much fileworking the spines of the steel.
Thanks so much.

I'm a big fan of 6", 8" 12 inch half round files.

and a large coarse round file that tapers at the end ( rat tail )

There are many different other shapes and terms for levels of coarseness

USA made files are generally considered better
Nicholson, Simonds Black Diamond..and others.

I don't like the fact it shows using files without handles.

I like the plastic Cluthe handles. Three sizes

They are cheap $2 and tough- I have some 20 years old and you can't tell them from the newest ones except for the design & colour changes made.

There are made locally to me, so you may have others more common in your area.

I like using golf balls for the handles better than a tradition style handle. It sits right in your palm so you are pushing with your arm, not your wrist. Draw (or push) filing it doesn't matter to me which type it is.
