So is anyone doing hand filed knives? I'm not talking about the file jig everyone uses on YouTube but artisan level stuff. I've made some pretty cool ones but when I bought a belt grinder lost interest cuz I worked in my basement and didn't feel it was safe. But, then the other day I seen a fold all stainless with peeks and valleys in the handle. It said it was all done with files. Are people doing this? I'm wondering if this could be something to work towards and has giving me a want to get back into it. Thanks for your replys examples would be great

I really like filework on the right knife. If it's a mammoth tusk scales, and polished up sit by the fire and admire it then yes. If it's a plain jane tactical user then no.

edit...disregard, already answered.

As mentioned - Wolfgang Loerchner

Spoken to him a few times at knife shows near me and he brings in a number of files he uses to make his knives.
