Heres a great tip I have for the best way to create pins that fit PERFECTLY.
Take a nail that is slightly BIGGER than your the holes in your handles and blade. Cut off the tip and also cut off the end. Be sure you cut off the little scratches that are on the end of most nails.
Now take the nail and put it in a drill motor. Hold a piece of sandpaper (I used 120 grit) to the nail and turn on the drill. This will sand the nail down while keeping it perfectly round. Continue doing this until it fits into your knife perfectly. You can use a finer sandpaper to give it a mirror finish once it fits.
Now all you have to do is put it in your knife. I wrap the nail in a rag MANY TIMES so it won't be scratched, then I place it in a vice and pean one tip of the nail with a ball pean hammer. Then I put it through the knife and do the other tip.
Hope that's useful to someone.
