Hand forged 9" chef's knife

[AA Forge]

What do you guys think?


Blade about- 9 1/4" (8 1/4" cutting edge)
Handle about- 5"
Steel- 3/16" 1084 high carbon steel
Black g-10 with two 3/16" stainless steel pins and a 1/4" mosaic pin.
Hand rubbed finish
Forged and then ground to a very thin edge.

I like the level of finish, and the overall package is nice and sleek and well made. The brut-de-forge flats look cool, too. My only detraction would be that the blade looks extremely thick for what I like in a chef knife.

It is a bit thick but it slices much better than you would think, I actually like how hefty it feels. That being said, I do plan to make some in 5/32" and 1/8" in the near future. I would also like to grind a couple out of cpm 154cm here soon.
