Hello, I am trying to identify a blade I have been gifted which I have been told is a hand forged dagger from a different country. The knife seems similar to a marlin spike but its spiral designs that goes back and forth in half circles and its blade resembling a Philips head make me think it might not be so. I have been told it is very deadly and someone stabbed with it would likely not survive. I am not able to include pictures but it is a darker metal with lighter edges, spiral designs going up the blade about 2/3 way, probably 10-12” long. Does anyone know of any knives like this or any in general that utilize a plus shaped blade?

As a registered user, you can post pictures using a picture hosting site. I use Imgur, but there are others. Once you have uploaded a picture to the hosting site, copy the web address of the picture. Note: picture web addresses must end in .jpg or .gif

Then go to your post and click the image tool on the toolbar next to the smiley tool. Click the link icon in the popup. (Looks like a chain.) Paste the picture address into the window. Then click the INSERT button.
