Can anyone explain the differences in appearance between the hand ground pre production version and the current production model? I know that the hand ground ones were hollow ground and the production ones are flat ground, but other than that do they look different? Also how many of these were hand ground? I would like to see a pic of both if possible.

OK, thanks to biginboca I now have a handground preproduction Carnivore. I would still like to know how many were made. It opens almost as smooth as my Crawford Carnivore. I also like the smooth g-10 on the preproduction model. Anyway I thought I would post a pic. Now all I need is a Damascus Carnivore and a Talonite one to complete my collection. Well, maybe a black-t one as well. Can you tell that I love this knife? The one on top is a Crawford, the one in the middle is a current production R.E.K.A.T., and the one on bottom is the R.E.K.A.T. pre-production hand ground.
