Hand Made Guns and Law

I believe you need a Federal gun manufacturer permit to legally build a fixed ammunition firearm. However, I also believe black powder muzzleloaders are pretty much unrestricted, up to and including cannons.

But don't take my word for it, I could be wrong or be going on old information. Who knows, they could have passed a new "anti-terrorist" law yesterday...
