Here's some pics of a pipe hawk i made. I forged the head using the traditional gun barrel method, but used 3/4 inch black pipe. I forge welded a piece of spring steel in for the bit. The handle is a laminated construction using scraps of curly maple from a job at work (im a cabinet maker during the day lol). Mouth piece and plug are antler tine tips. This was made to honor a guy who I knew as Snake who got me into rendezvous. He passed away a few years ago in a motorcycle accident and this fall will be my first time camping at the local rendezvous in honor of him and all he taught me. Its also fully functional as it should be ;)
