Sorry Brian. I thought you were talking about hole punches.
I have an old shoe maker/luggage repair man that I buy leather from. He confessed to me one day when I was bitching about buying a new punch for a different size rivet, that he makes his own........Duh.....I just make them using the old grinder/electric drill lathe.
Brian, I don't see way the rivet setter that's used for leather wouldn't work for kydex. The one in the link I posted looks exactly like the one I have for setting rivets in my leather sheathes. You probably have one in your set. Get some kydex rivets and try it on a scrap piece of kydex.

I used a rivet setter from Tandy for awhile on Kydex. The eyelets I did were alright. I finally got a rivet press from Knifekits, and they do perfect rolls every time -- wish I had gotten it a long time ago. :grumpy:
If you have the time and inclination, you can make one yourself if you buy their "dies" and rework a Harbor Freight press.
