Hand shaped paper micarta?

I was thinking about the paper micarta handles on the NMFSH LE and had just assumed that I would hand shape them like I have with a couple of canvas micarta and G-10 scales. Then I realized that I couldn't recall ever seeing hand shaped paper micarta. I can't imagine it would sand any differently than any other micarta.

Anyone have an example they'd like to share?

Also, you can damage the paper micarta by sanding too fast (by machine, not really by hand). Discoloration to red/brown is common when this occurs. Slow and easy does it :)

Be careful about sanding the stuff. In my experience, it shows scratches much easier (due to not really having a grain/texture of it's own) than any other micarta or G10 as well as drying out to look ashy or discolor with exposure to heat. These factors don't really hurt the function of it, but are annoying enough to make it my least favorite of the common handle material options despite it looking really sweet when it first shows up. Excellent for safe queens, not so hot for a user.
