Does anyone know if HandAmerican is still around? I tried to order one of their PC-8 strops a week and a half ago. I received an order number, but have not received a confirmation. I tried to call them several times and all I get is the answering machine. I even tried to email them, all to no avail. Are they still in business?

kamagong, I'm in a similar situation. I left a message with the company along with my e-mail address and the next day recieved an explanation via e-mail. Apparently they're having trouble with their anti-spam service and lots of legitimate mail was being lost. They were able to find my message though, and they answered the questions I had asked in it. I wrote back in response to that and have yet to get a response though, so maybe the e-mail problems are still there. I hope I don't have to call again because normal business hours on the East Coast are in the middle of the night here in Korea, so it's a major pain to use the phone. I'd advise that you try the phone again and be sure to leave a message if you get the machine again. I'll be sure to keep you posted on any developments I have too.

I have new developments! I just recieved an e-mail today informing me that my order has shipped and I should recieve it in a few days. Customer service was very good, in fact the order would have been here several days ago except for the fact that I'm at an APO address so overnight shipping isn't an option. They tried to send it overnight, but it's quite a big operation to try and get a package sent halfway around the world in one day. I need to travel nearly that long on a passenger plane to get back home! The short version, however, is that the problems have been resolved very satisfactorily in my case and I should have my order in a few days. So keep calling, they are listening.

I talked to a human there yesterday by calling the direct dial number--I was having the same recording answer on the toll free-I will say that in talking to the folks they advised me on my needs and actually down sold me according to my requirement-saved me $30 on a flat leather hone-as usual I was going overboard. I have not received anything nor gotten a confirmation. I sent an email last night asking another question and will wait for the reply--
