No offense Dingo but it's spelled "Handle Material". And there should be an apostrophe in "what's", form is spelled from, and sentences should begin with capital letters. I hate to sound like your first grade teacher but six errors in a posting that's nine words long....

:) I don't mean to bash anyone, but seriously I think lack of education and just plain laziness is a bigger threat to our country than the Taliban, North Korean nukes, and the former Soviet Union combined.

I may be injecting too much into this, but the way I see it citizens who are educated and can make intelligent decisions when it comes time to voting are the key to keeping this country healthy. Ignorant morons will send this country down the drain faster a division of Scud missiles loaded with anthrax.

That is assuming, of course, the people are not too lazy. I have to assume most Americans know that spelling "form" when you mean "from" is a typo. However, correcting that takes all of what, a quarter of a second? It's not like we have to break out the Liquid Paper like in the old days, and even then I'd do it!

Sorry for the rant, but I live in Los Angeles and some days I can't help but think this great country of ours is in deep feces.

Dingo thanks for being such a good sport about my spelling and grammar diatribe.:) I taught a few classes at USC and never got teaching fully out of my system.

hmm. not to blow my own horn. but, according to recent statistics i have more education than 85% of americans. yet, i still make many grammatical, typing, spelling errors. what does that tell us? i think it tells us one of two things. either, collleges are not doing their job of teaching what we should have learned in grammer school. or, more likely, spelling and grammer are not the end all indicator of intelligence! ok, how many words did i spell wrong in this post? my math skill are lacking too! lol.

I am extremely curious about this topic as well, so I started a new thread over in Community. Didn't want to take this thread any more off-topic than it already is.
