I wanted to know the difference of weight between the micarta handles and the G-10 handles offered by Busse. Also does the g 10 have the feel of the emerson folders?. thanks for the help.

the texture is not like emerson's.

it is smooth, and sometimes has a grooved pattern.

on the edge is right, G10 is heavier, it is also supposed to be stronger and no it does not have the texture of emerson or old benchmade, but it can be made like that with the right grit media blaster.

Having said that G10 is said to be much stronger, that has not been my experience. both linen and canvas micarta have been tougher, which in a hard use knife is more important. G10 is less porous, however, so if you are around lots of nasty liquids, ie., blood, G10 would be better

I always thought G-10 is lighter, like on my spyderco knives its really light. It seems more like and lighter, stronger plastic.

The micarta seems more like ceremic tile

Snap-on tools uses G10 on its screwdriver's, pry bars etc... I have been beating on G10 with ball peen hammers everyday for years, it has never failed. It's amazing stuff, steel will show signs of wear from the hammer before G10 will. Micarta is grippier from my experience and lighter but G10 is no slouch, plus it looks really nice in some patterns.
