"Canada's Prime Minister Paul Martin had announced that his Gov't will implement a complete Canada wide BAN on all handguns"

Crap. This whole anti-gun thing has GOT to stop somewhere. Why do the anti-gunners have their heads in the sand? Why would anyone believe that the Columbine shootings would never have happened if we had a gun ban in place? Ridiculous! Those creepy kids would have just blown the place up with pipe bombs or suicide bomb the place is all. The casualties could have been far worse! I have carried a gun for fo Uncle Sam, adn carried it proudly so these ignorant jerks can spit in my face and call me a killer and all the while drivnig their Escalades back to their gaudy mansions on the hill. It hurts.

I think we the gun people should make a stand - not with our guns, no not armed with guns, yet armed with our voices. Every single citizen who is pro-gun in the USA - whether you OWN a gun or not, should join NRA or whatever pro-gun activist group you are part of, and support them fully. Become involved in the legislature surrounding firearms, and exercise your right to freedom of speech. If we dont, our way of life will be lost to the liberals forever.

Well thanks for listening to my ranting. I get a litle upset when I watch shows like The Patriot, and feel all patriotic and goodness inside then some peckerheads just make it a lot easier for criminals to make even more money selling illegal weapons. I leave you with this:

i could use a sign like that in the front yard better yet when you print these up i need 3 i have friends i have to look out for

Luckily I live in a state where open carry is legal and CCW permits are available.

Back when the Brady Bill was first passed, Reserve, the county seat of Catron County, the largest and least populated in NM passed a city ordinance that every house had to have a gun. Catron County is just slightly smaller than the state of New Hampshire with an area of almost 7000 sq. mi. and 3400 people.

I agree 100%!
I think you'll find that most people who are anti gun have never used one, or been taught any sort of gun safety either. Ignorance drives them.

Also, I'm an NRA member and I'm really amazed at the benefits it offers other than the political ones. Its a very worthwhile organization to join, and doesn't cost much at all.

Now I just need to find the time and money to apply for a CCW permit :grumpy:

nobody gives a shit what we do down here. In fact, "Survivor" is thinking of doing a special down here in our state. The contestants must drive a Volvo with a rainbow "Gay Pride" bumper sticker all the way across the state while asking for handouts along the way. Of course in Austin, they'll get'em!! :)

I'm going to keep on buying them until they take them away. When they do, they'll be taking them away from my great great grandson that I never met. It's inevitable, but a long way away, I hope.

Higgy, great rant .... true problem for all of us..........lets say they take our guns......how long would it be before they swing their misguided attention to knives..??

Any knife maker or knife lover, collector, family of one that is not an NRA member is tempting fate.......

ME...Im a life member!!!

 Ignorance is the key word.
most every criminal has one and they are not regulated and they will not give them up willingly.
the kids that shoot up schools don't have them legally they will get them no matter what if that's what they want,,

I'd rather get shot with a hand gun than with a 30 06 100 yards off any day ..
they need a hand gun shoved up their collective arses..
hand guns don't kill people, people kill people:grumpy:
dumb a$$s

edited to add
if we all
that do have hand guns,
put a sign out on our houses lite up for everyone to see, saying

I do have hand guns and will use them to protect my house.
brake in at your own risk may God help you..

who's house do you think will get broke into first,, the dumb ass's house or mine?
brake in's will slow down at least on the signed houses

I totally agree sooner or later we are gonna lose ALL guns  .jhiggins just do what i'm doing keep buying guns especially the spotlight guns like the good ol mini14 ak47 and other hi cap delights. I favor the second amendment.I have been around guns all my life i have a concealed carry permit,I own several "sporting rifles" :D not to mention the plinkers, shotuns and enouh ammo to sink a rowboat.Oh did i mention i have no felonies, and have been in a few scuffles while carrying a loaded .40 caliber pistol.i still never shot anyone.I am a responsible gun owner like the rest of you guys 7 days a week.if congress sees fit to remove my weapons then i will have to live a life of crime.I'm sure everyone knows this quote from the pioneer of gun control "This year will go down in history. For the first time a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future."
--Adolph Hitler, 1935 Well what happened to following your lead adolf?.....
sorry to go off here but this subject chaps my A$$ whats next taking away my pocket knife.

Don't buy guns from dealers. Buy them in neighboring states from private individuals. States that don't yet require a FOID and receipt. Everyone needs a few unregistered guns in their collections. :D

it only takes one good shot to sink a rowboat you know:foot: :D

I've carryed and have had a CFP
"corection it's called a Conceled Firearms permit"
for about 20 years now. back years ago it was a true CWP..

I'll carry anyway, some of the boys in Mass know that:D

They can pry my gun from "My Cold Dead Hands" :jerkit:

Never gonig to happen while I am breathing in a free society!

After I wrote this, I was in the shop pondering about what life must have been like 200 years ago in this country. There probably wasn't even an inkling of thought in anyone's minds about the need of firearms. It was a necessity! It was a way of procuring food and protecting what you had, and the lives of you and your loved ones. A call to arms! It was the armed civilian population in this country that eventually led to our separation from the imperialist British rule.

Imagine now the outrage gun collectors in Canada must be feeling right now. Imagine having to stash all your finely-engraved Colts. Never again feel teh joy of plinking with your revolver. Makes me sad for them.

Law enforcement is the key........currently there are more than 2022 laws affecting the illegal use of firearms in this country. use them.....

In Richmond Va., a police chief designed and instituted Project Exile.....

Simply, comit a crime with a firearm....automatic 5 years federal time.

That means out of state prisons. Where mommy & daddy cant readily visit,
your bros wont be stopping by to say hi.......its a true your on your own stint.

You guys ever heard of it.???

Firearm crime in Richmond is still present......but not by much.

The reduction in activities of this sort was and still is amazing :p

like I said they will be just taking the guns away from the one that don't use them in crime..guns will be had by the criminals as long as they are being made..that will not stop crime it will just detour the way they get them..
and we'll suffer for it..what's happening to our rights to bare arms and freedom..I like the idea a gun in everyone's home..our town supplies free gun locks :D dang this reminds me I have to renew my permit next month.

Well, I'm a life member of NRA and even my liberal wife has come around to the benefits of gun ownership. She reads Freedom First before I do! I feel for the poor sap who thinks he's gonna get the drop on her when I'm not home...

I do my part to try to educate some of these lame non-gunners, but I honestly think it's no use. Many people are afraid of guns and have been taught to rely on their government for protection - and for everything else. Folks feel no responsibility to care for their own safety, that's the government's job. Too bad for them if the police don't get there in time, eh? Stupid jerks. I think this is what they mean by natural selection.

Many of them say they can't have guns around because of their kids. Hmmm. I grew up in a house with handguns; we understood what they were and what they were for, and never thought of a gun as a toy or something we could show off with. We knew we might kill someone accidentally and really didn't want to do that. I guess parenting is out of fashion, even for conservatives.

We've judiciously placed handguns throughout our house, and unless some bad guy clubed me in my sleep he wouldn't be leaving here under his own power. One thing to keep in mind, some states have regulations how many bullets you can put in a bad guy and get away with it. In Iowa, more than two bullets is murder regardless the threat. Something to think about. Good thing we practice! :D One in each nostril.

I used to live in the Virgin Islands, where they have a total ban on all guns. Funny, lots of people got shot while I lived there. Criminals didn't seem too concerned about obeying the law and they had plenty of victims. I slept with a machete under the bed and never really felt quite right. I'm much happier with a .38 under the pillow, a .45 in the nightstand and a 20 guage under the bed. Too bad I sleep like a log; that's the weakness in our defenses. Dog sleeps pretty well too.

That's a great sign Jeff. :D
