If they are post-May 1963 models, you should be able to see a rivet through the pommel. Try rubbing the pommel briskly on a coarse cloth (blue jeans work well) then exhale a puff of warm, moist breath on the pommel. You should see the rivet. By the way, this method is especially effective on brass pommels when looking for bolster rivets. Vern Taylor taught us this handy little trick!!
