Handle Batch Numbers

Does anyone know if different handle batch numbers are compatible with each other? For example, A02 and B01 handle slabs in the same knife. Does Chris Reeve ever sell a knife with mismatched handle slab batch numbers? I imagine the handle slab with the lock would have to be hand fitted to the individual blade.

Edited to add: I am talking about the Sebenza. The numbers are on the inside of the handle slabs.

No one seems to know. I may have to e-mail Chris Reeve Knives and ask them. Would you guys please look at your Sebenzas and tell me if your handle slab batch numbers match? It’s easy to see without taking the knife apart. Thanks guys.

My new sebbie also has mis-matched r and l handle slabs. I am sure it is normal. No worries...

The batch numbers on the inside of my new (December 4, 2002 "birth date") Sebenza match. If I remember correctly, my old (December 29, 2000 "birth date") BG-42 Sebenza had no batch numbers...

I just picked up a small Classic to tide me over till my wood inlayed arrives. Both slabs are marked C 02. I'm wondering if the titanium is milled in batches during the year of A,B, and C, and the leftover slabs added to next years batch? Interesting!!

They match on my Classic Rosewood (A 02) I'm at work and only have that one with me. Will check my others when I get home.
