So I read a recent post by Sal that they began tooling for the new Pacific Salt 2. They have not yet decided on handle shape and I thought it would be interesting to take a poll here to see what people's preferences were.

Personally, I much prefer the Endura 3/Pacific Salt handle to that of the Endura 4. The Pacific Salt sits in my hand naturally whether I am holding it choked up or further back. The Endura 4 is a different experience for me. I have a hard time finding a grip that feels completely natural on that knife, whether I'm holding it choked up or further back. I think my issue with the handle is the smaller middle finger groove which only allows room for one finger. This forces me into one of two grips, neither of which is completely comfortable for me.

I don't hate the Endura 4 or anything and if they decide to go that route then I will certainly still buy and use the Pacific Salt 2 but given the choice, I would prefer to have the same shape handle as the current Pacific Salt but with bi-directional texturing.

What about you guys?

I love, love, love the volcano grip of the Pacific Salt 1. So I can't vote. The overall handle shape I don't care about, but I use my PS1 in swimming truck (netted) pockets. And these netted pockets don't do well with the super aggressive pattern.

So I am standing out and saying please stay with the volcano grip!

I was just thinking about swapping my ps2 blade with my endura blade earlier this week. I read on the spyderco forum that it wouldn't work. They came to the conclusion (without anyone trying) that it wouldn't work. However, I think it would or at least could. They were using the wrong metrics.

Both, for two handed grip! :p

Seriously, I like the ergos on both a lot, so I'm honestly pretty fine with either one. Gun to my head, I guess I would say keep 'em the same. The Pac Salt has a slightly more neutral handle and that can make for increased versatility and comfort in a variety of grips.

The only thing constant in life is change, so I am good either way. That said, when I think of Pac Salts I think of El Gringo. Lance, I defer to you since you use the pi$$ out of you Pac Salts. If you say keep same, keep same

I like Cara Cara handle shape. So it should be closer to Pac Salt / E3 rather than E4. Voted accordingly.

Although I have plenty of Endura 4s, I still wish they use Cara Cara shape but more rounded & with E4 bidirectional.

Since this thread is about wish and preferences, there it is :D

I love the Endura 4. The handle works great for me in multiple grips. I cast my vote for it.
