Handle choice

I got a Gemini Assault ULB on order and a Slay Fillet. While looking at my orders I noticed the Gemini Assault had magnum handles and called to have them changed to standard. Both are g10 standard handles.
Did I screw up? How much of a difference between the handles is there?
Ive held maybe 3 busses definitely know 1 for sure and it was 8yrs ago maybe 10?
I currently have a RMD and love it! Feels great in hand. I also have a 411,511,Trash2,TNT,Retriever, Magnum Retriever, and all the Free Reins. All feel great 0 complaints. I do realize they're not the same as g10. Just wanted to give you as much info as possible.
Im also concerned about concealment. I want to keep things as thin and streamlined as possible.
I do like a full size grip on my handguns and pistol grips though. Glock and Beretta are my jam. The glock 20 and 40 are the max I like grip wise. Not sure that will help y'all
Glove size medium or a small large. Medium usually stretch with wear and fit perfectly.
If I intended to use these as a hiking, camping, outdoors use knives id be more tempered to try the magnum handles since I could see where there would be benefits.
I also have a Forsaken Kensei on order...lol! Just wanted to throw that in.
Sorry! Im the new kid in class and dont know much.

Thank you in advance!

I have big meaty hands
Up until this year really there was not the choice (I know back a long time ago 16 to 18 years ago on a few knives blah blah) and the what is now magnum was all there was.

I now have 3 models with the 2 choices

For me and my big meaty hands I prefer the what is now called standard.

Some with longer fingers I would guess would like the Magnum scales.

I did post a thread with lots of pics

If I were you sounds like "standard" is a good choice.

To what David is saying, smaller handles counter-intuitively work better for bigger hands.

I put the largest back strap on my pistol just to make sure I have more surface to grab on to. I have wierd hands...large palms short fingers...good for swimming or paddling...

You say you want smooth and fast. Then standard handles is the way to go. However, magnum handles are almost always going to be more comfortable. I think that was a paradox on my fmv6. I love the grip, but that contoured grip really isn't disappearing anywhere. The knife lets you know it's there on your kit.

You aren't going smooth and fast with full dguard on an 8 inch blade though. I think you would appreciate the magnum on that knife in particular.

If it was tgnano assault or fmv4.5 assault I'd probably lean towards standard slabs a lot more

Big thank you to....Becky at Busse,David, and Volk.
Thanks to them taking the time to post, show pics, and explain the differences in the handles.
I decided to call and change the Slay Fillet and Gemini Assault to black g10 magnums.

Taking your advice! Our hands sound very similar and looking at David's pics has helped alot also! Becky explained that magnum is what used to be i guess the only or main option and standard is the new and thinner version.
So magnum it is!
