Handle color?

Is there any way of knowing how the color is going to turn out on a handle?
What I mean is, if you look at pics of say..........blue / black g-10. Some of the handles look really nice and are more black than blue and some are more blue than black. Is the picture posted on the website a good indicator of what this knifes handle color combo will look like or is it different for every knife?
 
the black& blue g-10 is pretty consistent.but it also depends on how its machined and what layers are exposed.thats why a started a thread asking for some color combinations to be posted as a sticky.it would help alot.also the colors on the website dont look right.they are washed out a little.
