What is your favourite fixed blade handle design? Post pics if you're not sure about specific names. I know this might sound very general but I've noticed there are preferences on blade forums. For example, some like/dislike straight, ergonomic, coffin shaped, and/or bird's beak handles. I think my favourite ones so far are Busse, Fehrman, and Becker handle designs.

Griffin=single finger groove near the hilt. There is another name for them, but I can't think of it off the top of my head. "Griffin" is the name I first heard used, and this was by some older gentlemen who have been into Randall knives since the 1960's. Might no longer be the "official" name for that style handle. Heck, might never have been the "official" name....its just what I've heard them called.

Yep, that would technically be a "single finger grip" handle.:)

This Moran style handle that the crew at Bark River crafted for me on a custom Bowie is my favorite handle.

My favorite is micarta, Res c, then G10.

Some of my favorites are ESEE, Scrapyard and Busse (Busse Kin).

Checkered kraton works best for me, regardless of shape. It makes the knife feel like a natural part of my hand, gives a very positive grip, and remains comfortable even after prolonged use. Oh, and it the best shock-absorber material out there!

They may not be as durable as bone or micarta, but it makes no difference as I am rarely exposed to extreme environments.

I like them so much, I find I am becoming more and more reluctant to buy fixed blades with any other handle material.
