I tried something different (for me) on the handles of this Resolute Hunter. I carved a pronounced step into the handle instead of normal palm swells. It came out super nice, but I just couldn't capture it in the pictures as well as it looks in person. Handle material is Black Ash Burl.

Well I like the fire out of it.....I'm up for anything besides flat handles anymore. I think it would be trick if you tried one with a Kogi (sp) type air-step, but more like a topo map...if that makes sense....kinda coming in from both ends and edges and building up to a palm swell in the middle.......well it was just an idea, but it was a good one! :) ld

This looks like one that a someone would have to see in person. It looks great in the picture, but I'd be willing to bet it would look even better up close. That Black Ash Burl is stunning. About as nice a wood as I have seen.

Bob, I think its a neat Idea, giving the handle a different feel or look most times creates a different knife...I like what you do...great job all around...Nice pics by the way:cool:

Bob,

I think you need to send it to me so I can see how it feels in person.:p
