Hi all. Im making a knife handle thats half g10 and half walnut. I know that G10 can just have a polished finish, and doesn't need protection, but if I want the whole handle to look consistent, and seemless, is there something I could just coat the entire handle with, or rather just polish the g10, then mask that, and finish the wood part of the handle with something?

You might ask a Mod to move your thread here:
Just use the "Report".

I use Danish oil finish from Watco.
I use it on walnut, other woods.......and some micarta.

Plus I love the smell

Put a jigged texture on both materials, it will look and feel consistent, and be super cool and one of a kind!

My suggestion for making very dissimilar materials appear consistent.

I use Tru-oil on all wood, stabilized or not, micarta and G-10. I've had no problems with it adhering to the G-10.
