I'm not sure where to post this but I think you guys would be able to help. I recently stripped the coating of a bk9 and when I put the handles back on there was a gap. I took them off to see if anything was getting in the way of them but there was nothing. Do you guys have a solution to my problem?

Perhaps the handle scales aren't flat. Maybe lap the inside side of the scales on some sandpaper on a flat surface and see how they fit. Just don't take too much off to prevent handle screw problems. I'm guessing you have the stock grivory , but this would work for the micarta ones also.

Thanks, i'll try that.

If you find that taking some of the scale material off thins the scale too much, you can add some shower pan liner as a scale liner material. One added benefit is that it would create a seal to limit moisture under the scales to aid in creating a less rust prone atmosphere.

Shower pan liner is available at most home improvement centers.

kendric ~~ how about you just email me your address and I will send you a new pair in Wood..?? Dark Brown W/Red Liner.*
