Well Just Today I Was At A Lunch-In At The UW (University Of Washington) And They Gave Us Nice Butter Knives And Forks :D. The Butter Knife Was REALLY Handle Heavy , And I Thought To Myself, This Thing Has A Huge Amount Of Control!!! Since The SARs Came Out, Everyone Thought The Handles Were To Heavy, In Conparison To The Blade. Those People Usually Sanded The Slabs To a More Confortabl Weight. Would This Make It A Better Chopper More Weight In Front Compared To The Back, Or Is This Just A Thought, Not Fact, Since Your Not Adding Weight To The Front Would It Change It?

I Think A Bushcraft Knife Should Be Handle Heavy For More Contol...

Just My .02 :D

For me, I like a blade heavy for chopping, handle heavy to almost neutral where I need more control for bushcrafty-type tasks. See, easy!

Seems to make sense to me. Neutral for an all-arounder, maybe a bit handle heavy for fine work, definitely blade heavy for chopping.

I think handle-heavy is more dexterous, but it promotes more hand fatigue. Neutral is the key for a smaller knife for me.

A well balanced knife is best for overall control, no doubt. However, I like the blade to be a bit heavy for chopping chores.

I forgot about Its being balanced... :o:p Ya i like smaller knives to be balanced, Medium knives to be handle heavy, and larger knives to be blade heavy.

I tend to lean toward handle heavy small knives and blade heavy large knives. Very subjective thing. It just has to "feel" right and looking back on it, those knives that I didn't "speak" to me were usually neutral (i.e. SJTAC).
