Handle material suggestion

The thought occurred to me recently while using one of my Craftsman screwdrivers...would the handle material used for the drivers be a good knife handle material? The handles on good screwdrivers seem to take a lot of abuse and hold up well, would they work on a knife? My gut feeling is that it would be great for a FB, but might be a bit malleable under pressure for a folder.

Not sure what kind of rubber craftsman is putting on their handles nowadays (the last screwdriver I bought from them has a textured and grooved hard plastic handle) but if it's a hard rubber I'm assuming Swamp Rat's Resiprene C handles would be the kind of handle you're thinking of. Resiprene C is a really hard rubber, maybe twice as hard as kraton if I remember my Busse Basic 5 correctly. I think Resiprene C makes the ideal rubber for knife handles.
