Hey all. As most of you know, I use alot of corian for throats on my knifes. I have an overload of some and was wondering if anyone would like to trade some differently patterned corian for something similar. Variety is the spice of life, they say. The pieces I have are approx. 1' long and 1"-2" wide except for the "ivory" colored sheets. If anyone wants a close up picture or more info, just let me know.

I've got a box of 30 pieces of 2"X 2"X 1/2" corian. It would be perfect for stacked handles. I tried to give it away for just shipping, and couldn't get any takers. Good luck.;) :D

Hey Mike, what colors are they? If it's different from what I have, I'd be interested.

It is a box of color samples I got years ago from a distributor here, so it is 31 colors. If you are lucky, there might even be a couple of blocks of "glitter corian". Could make some pimpin knives wit dat. ;)
Actually, it is pretty nice looking stuff, mostly earthtones, with some darker, like granite etc.:D

Hey Mike, send me an e-mail and we'll work out how I should take those off your hands. Here I go again, planning to unload some extra supplies and ending up with more instead. Thank goodness Tess is a very understanding woman.:D  :D

How hard is this stuff tow ork? because I like the way this looks as throats(if that means the section I sometime see between the guard/bolster and the larger scales/part of handle). If that's not throat, then replace throat with whatever that piece is called. :) Not really ready to try anyting yet, as I still have yet to make my first knife with a guard, just wondering since the topic has been brought up

The corian works and finishes easily. I've seen folks use it for whole handles but, I mainly use it to accent natural materials. Though I have made a couple stacked handles with the stuff, come to think of it. Yeah, it's easy and buffs up real nice.
