I have two metal handled knives, a Kershaw Leek and an awesome Ruike p801, as well as two plastic handled, an Ontario Rat 2 D2 and a Steel Will Modus, also D2. I like the physical warmth of non-metal handles. I am not attracted to even the sleek titanium high-end knives seen on YouTube reviews as they seem too design conscious at the cost of "user friendliness". Admittedly I have not held them and might alter my opinion if I did. I'm interested in others' opinions on what is essentially a matter of taste.

For modern folders I don't like the all metal construction either.
There needs to be handle scales if it's metal framed, scales must cover completely as well, no exposed edges.

I'm really liking G10 and micarta as of late, especially being a hiker and in colder weather.
I still have a couple with aluminum scales I'm very fond of.

I love Ti in any form.
That said Ti is more than a pretty face. The stuff is super strong and super resilient. Fatigue limit ? ? ? What fatigue limit ? (can't say that for aluminum for example) If I were going to drop a locking folder off a five story building and want it to work when I went to retrieve it I would have the best chance with a Ti handled knife.
Here's a very friendly to use and inexpensive Ti handled knife 440C steel with a decent heat treat. I like this knife in use. It's a Boker

For a lock back it is easy to close one handed even with taped finger. I can't say that about my many Cold Steel lock backs (had to mod them to be easier to close one handed).

i like metal handled knives......and wood, bone, micarta, g10, frn, elk, stag, ........pretty much all of them as materials.

Depending what day it it I like x y z material. But my fav has been for awhile now all ti for folders.

Fixed blades are a whole different story all together!

Other than CF I like most all handles materials. G10, Micarta, Kirinite, wood, metal, horn as long as it's used in the right application.
FWIW I find Ti to be the "warmest" of all the metals.

I prefer G10, Micarta, carbon fiber, wood. Don't like all metal handles - too cold feeling and slippery.
