Does Cypress Work Well For Handles? Does It Have To Be Stabilized?

I would think it would not be a good handle wood.Stabilizing might help,but there are hundreds of better choices.

I understand Thuya is a member of the cypress family. Because thuya is an oily wood, stabilizing it is something of an art. (Go to Mike at WSSI).

IMHO, thuya needs stabilizing. I don't know if that applies to it's relative - cypress
