G'day all . I've recentley picked up my first Busse , Its a Fat FBM finished in desert sage and what I think is referred to as a camo handle?I'm guessing that it's linen micarta but for the life of me I just can't tell.Could someone please tell me if I'm right?

The handle material is called G-10. It's similar to micarta but a bit sharper/more plasticy to the touch. It's a close second to the durability of micarta but won't stain from sweat/dirt/oil like micarta will.

Thanks for the info pbubsy, there's been quite a few posts referring to this one but I could'ent find anything regarding the handle material.
I thought the G10 handle finishes from Busse were all solid in color, learn somthing new every day! Thanks again.

Congrats on your first Busse...

You did great for your first score... the Sage FFBM are the sweetest of all of FFBMs.

.

Micarta is a composite of phenolic resin binding together canvas, linen or paper reinforcement.

G10 consists of epoxy resin binding fiberglass cloth.

Has Busse ever used carbon fiber composite scales?
