This is a 110 that I bought with a broken blade and paid to have an ATS-34 balde put in, but I didn't bother to keep the date code off the original blade, so I don't know exactly when it was made, other than it does have the newer contoured bolsters.

Look like Macassar Ebony??

That would be my guess. I believe it was used up until around 1992.

Thanks Tom, you've actually held this knife. I remember showing it to you with the broken blade just after I bought it in Mt Vernon at the knife show!

I do remember you getting that knife. I have always liked the older 110's with the ebony handles.

That looks very similar to one from 1992 that I had with a broken blade that I sent in and they replaced it with an S30V blad they had on hand. Looks like macasar ebony to me.

I am not sure what your handle is made of but that is a good looking knife

Thanks, that is one I got a great deal on, $10 or $15 for the knife in like new condition except for the blade tip snapped off, $35.00 for the ATS-34 blade from the Custom Shop and bingo, "semi-custom" for around $50.00! :D

They should be, that is one reason that I like them. The other reason is the 440C blade. Every time I show mine to someone they all comment on how it is heavier than a new one. I just need to find some that I have seen in all of the fantastic pictures that have been displayed. THANK YOU ALL for the pictures, it gives me some thing to do besides having a private knife show, or tackling someone to show them to at times.:D:D

You may enjoy looking at this one then. It's a like new three-line inverted stamp with the macasar ebony scales and 440C steel.

Very NICE knife Mike, and thank you for the picture. I do have 1 two line, 2 three line's then enough two dots to have 2 in my EDC rotation.:D Most of these I found fishing at thE BAY. All of my family think its odd that when I come to visit I want to chech out the stores.:D:D HL

The unique thing about that knife is the stamp. There weren't too many three liners made that are read point down.

I thought they did not do blade swaps anymore? Can I still do this with an old 110, and say put on a new S30V like Mike had done?
