Handle Materials on 110?

I sent a quick question to Buck CS, but haven't heard back yet.
Thought I'd ask here, too, and see if anyone can help:

Looking at the Buck Custom shop and the handle materials that Buck uses on the 110 model, I noticed that all (most?) of the handle materials are natural materials. (e.g. wood, horn, shell, etc.)

Is it possible to have a Custom 110 made with some non-natural material like micarta or G10???

Got two about a week ago.
G-10 w/ Micarta liners...and that awesome BG-42 steel.

Yep, what the Goose said. Other than that, you are pretty much limited to whatever the custom shop offers.

Today I called the Custom Shop about the exact same thing (only I was asking about a 112). Pete was at lunch, but the person that answered basically said it had been done in the past, but not often because they had to source the materials, etc etc. I was specifically asking about carbon fiber, and she said that it had been done with G-10 (like the other poster mentioned). Anyway, she said she would have Pete call me back, so maybe I'll have the definitive answer soon.
