I don't think this has been asked before.

I know a lot of folks have a fair number of traditional slippies in their arsenal and are always on the lookout for more. At the end of the day, when we look at our collections and think about what we might like to carry tomorrow, or when we think about what we might like to acquire next, which camp do you good folks find yourselves in-- those who like a variety of handle materials in a variety of colors, or those who tend to collect a particular handle material in a variety of colors, or those who tend to gravitate toward a particular handle material in just one color?

I know this survey may not perfectly fit everyone, but play along as best as you can and pick one. :)

I voted for a variety of materials in many different colors.

One look at my collection and it's easy to see that I have no real logic or pattern in the knives I buy except that about 80% of them are slipjoints.

I stay away from celluloid handles but aside from that I can't think of any other material that I don't like.

I voted #1 of the three.. I'm the kind of fellow who loves all of GOD's natural handle material. Whether that is Mother of Pearl, Stag, Horn, Bone, Ivory, Leather, Wood, or anything else the Lord has blessed us with here on this planet.. I have very few knives in man-made scales and that is the way I like it. As far as color and shade go I just don't give a hoot.

Best,
Anthony

While I have knives with all the normal handle scales, the majority are various colors of jigged bone.

Anthony summed it up for me. As long as it's a natural material, nice jigged bone, stag, good wood, I'm easy to please. I'm more interested in the overall look of the knife.

I've got allot of different handle materials but stag is in the majority and is my favorite. I picked one color but I like amber stag as well as natural.

I like a little bit of everything. I prefer some handles over others when it comes to users, but the only handle material I'm really not a fan of is MOP...although it's starting to grow on me

I think the wide variety of handle materials only adds to my enjoyment of slipjoint pocketknives. I prefer natural handle material, but also like some of the man made materials. Celluloid has left a poor taste because of its propensity to deteriorate and damage the knife. Ed J
