I haven't even received my BK9 yet but I am looking into my options for different handle scales other than the Micarta that Ka-bar sells. I did a search and found a whole bunch of cool mods, micarta, wood, etc. Can someone post or send me a list of vendors that have replacement scales for the BK9 other than the micarta? Thanks!

TommyTheWho, and Jim62 for wooden scales. I think Saints Cutlery makes micarta, but he's a fleabay vendor... And I guess anyone that sells epoxy, wood, cloth, paper, or glow in the dark powder.

Already making plans for it. :D I'm glad. I always wanted to get better handles on the thing.

FYI... they KABAR micarta handles are great. very comfortable for extended use IMHO..

Sure am:) If the USPS is right and I get it tomorrow, I plan on putting it to some use on Saturday on some vines and a tree in my yard. I will have a good idea if I need to replace the handles after that! I hope you enjoy that 707!

Enter my contest and you could win some Kabar micarta. :)

I'm really a big fan of Kabar micarta. It's far better than saint, imo, and gives the good grip needed.
