I was wanting to do another pair of scales for my esee 4. The first pair I just used the screws, but I want to try my hand at pinning and gluing a pair together.
So onto my question, would I use 1/4" pins if the holes are just a tad larger? I believe the holes are technicaly 9/32", and the 1/4" bolts that sit in the tang have slight wiggle when I put them in place.
Also, I have plenty of hammers but no ball peen hammers. Is this a necessity, or could I get by using a standard hammer?
I apreciate your help and all suggestions on the process in general. This is all uncharted teritory for me.
