Handle problems?

Just wondering if anyone's had any handle problems with the Strider knives. Like the wrap coming undone too easily, uncomfortable, stuff like that. I really like the Strider designs, and I love the folders, but I was just kinda wary about the cord wrapped handles, so that's why I'm asking.

I find the cord wrap very comfortable. Japanese swords used to have their handles wrapped as well. Carried through battlefields etc. they seemed to hold up fine. Maybe a retie every once in awhile for a sword that saw some serious use and abuse :D

I used to wonder the same thing until I used one. I can't think of better grip surface out there. The cord is wrapped tighter than concrete and is far from loose. It doesn't budge. The width is perfect for my hands on the Field Use Striders. The weave produces a very tight purchase to the hand. You either love it or hate it.
Try One.

Yep, love it or hate it as someone said...I love mine. I didn't think I would until I held it in my hand. Cord is wrapped nice and tight. Even if it comes off or wears, just send it in and the guys will rewrap it.

The first time I picked one up I wondered why you would not want this handle on every knife, so I proceeded to do it to all my "prybar" style blades. It is reliable, durable, cleanable, re-doable (want a color change?), and about as good as it gets for retention and grip security. For long use it is not bad either. Suprisingly, it is not harsh on hands.
