Hey, I just got a cool survival style bowie knife, but the way the company or whoever did the handle was weird, and i want to replace it, but It has a metal end and a metal middle section I want to keep. But it's hollow as well. The rest of the handle is plastic. It was glued on with some yellow-ish glue. I want to replace the plastic with some cedar to make it look better. Any way you guys know to remove the plastic without damaging the metal?

Well if it's in plastic and it's a good blade, simply break it with a hammer try not to damage parts you wan to keep, you can also use a cold chisel no problems. For you handle, a much harder wood is preferable.
