Handle removal

Pretty new here and made a huge mistake. I pined and glued up my handle before thinking I hadn't hardened it yet. Using 1095. Is there a way to remove or will I just need to destroy my handle. Using JB Weld clear 15 minute 2 part epoxy. I know it was a dumb mistake.

Probably the gentlest way is cover in water and boil for 5-15 mins

You will still have to press out the pins


What kind of handle material?
 
Heat gun may also work to get the epoxy to let go instead of boiling, but may burn the handle material. Or take a Utility knife blade and tap it in between the scales and tang. What are the scales? Acrylics, bone, stag, antler, wood, etc most likely will not survive. Micarta or G10 have the best chance of surviving a removal.

Acrylic and pecan hulls
 
Yeah, that most likely will not survive! Most acrylics get soft around 200 degrees; the epoxy you used goes to 250, but probably weakens substantially as it approaches that.
